A beautiful range of Malbec's from the well-known French region of South West. Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve is husband and wife, Catherine and Mathieu, their vineyard is mainly Malbecs and farmed all organically. This Malbec is hand harvested the wine is fermented in stainless steel, then aged a further 12 months in old oak.
This cuvee represents the expression of the 2018 vintage, elegant with generous fruits - lifted with blue berries but also some prunes and liquorice, developing on chocolate notes and hints of black pepper. Complex on the palate showing the gentle oak ageing. It's an elegant Malbec but also powerful with it's attractive inky colour, a delicious introduction to the winery's terroirs across their range.
Perfect for the cooler weather, organic too !
