"Oiseau Rare" - 80% Grenache, 20% Carignan
Infamous for their sweet wines Mas Amiel have been converting their site to organic and biodynamics for 20 years, with the aim to bring the 'Terroir' expression back to life. In 2020 they thought the time was right to focus on the old vines of Grenache and make them into a serious still wine.
The old vine plot, over 100 years old sites on a unique schist patch. 100% destemmed fruit which is fermented and aged in large concrete vats.
Red fruits, fine tannin structure and long finish. Amazing value for the quality in this old vine wine.
