This Pic Saint Loup from Domaine de l'Hortus is made from Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache on a terroir of scree and limestone chippings.
The nose is quite lifted and the attack is characterized by crunchy red berry fruit, surrounded by smooth, silky tannins. The aromatics offer notes of spices and fresh herbs (garrigue) with some liquorice on the finish.
Ideal with a weekly diner night !
