A beautiful range of Malbec's from the well-known French region of South West. Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve is husband and wife, Catherine and Mathieu, their vineyard is mainly Malbecs and farmed all organically.
Old vines of Malbec vines planted on clay soils. Hand harvested after the wine is fermented and aged 14 months in french oak barrels.
Best of both worlds, the elegant, frehsness of the terroir, and the deep structured expression of the Malbec. It's full bodied yet lifted by a nice minerality, you will find a hint of blue fruit, a generous amount of spices developing on a rich nose of black fruits - black cherries, red plums. You will be charmed by it's delicate velvety feel and it's inky touch, to be left alone for 20 minutes before tasting allowing the wine to fully open.
