A small production made by the winemaker Matt Campbell as a side project. His wines are precise and super elegant. This is a blend of 72% Syrah from Tooborac, Vic, 22% Grenache and 6% Mourvèdre from Corop in Victoria, the grapes are hand picked and naturally fermented - aged in oak barrels for 11 months.
The Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre blend is deep garnet red with bright ruby edges. A mixture of red and black fruits on the nose, with background herbal and allspice notes. The palate is initially soft and supple, with a core of black fruit and spice, before transitioning to a dry, savoury finish with restrained fresh acidity.
